Get StartedAre students allowed to retake quizes, tests, lab reports, or exams?
In the case of a failing grade on quizzes, unit tests, or lab reports, the teacher reserves the right to require a retake to ensure mastery of the concepts.
In the case of a failing grade on a final exam, one retake is required if the student wishes to earn passing credit because a passing grade on the final exam is necessary in order to pass the course.
There is a retake fee and process. The request must be made within 48 hours of failing the exam. Once the teacher receives the request, the student may be asked to complete an additional assignment (such as a study guide) or attend tutoring.
Same-day retakes are not permitted as adequate study time is necessary. The teacher may provide feedback on missed concepts but will not provide a copy of the failed exam to ensure the integrity of Blueprint Independent Study exams.
** Please Note: A no-show fee will be charged for any student who does not show up for a scheduled exam without prior notification of cancellation.
Are you NCAA approved?
Yes. Most Blueprint courses are NCAA-approved, and Blueprint is accredited through Cognia.
NCAA Approved courses will be labeled with "NCAA Approved."
Can a parent or guardian access their student's progress and grades?
Yes, this is possible, but a parent or guardian's email is required during the purchasing process to ensure parents/guardians can log in to view their students' progress.
Do all exams need to be proctored?
Yes, all exams need to be proctored by a Blueprint Staff member.
If a student plans on coming into our office to take their exams, they do not need to schedule with a virtual proctor (but will need to schedule with our office proctor). Our office staff will monitor the student's exam.
- Office testing hours are: Monday & Wednesday 9am-3pm unless otherwise indicated due to office closures.
If a student wishes to take their exam at a location other than our office, we still require a Blueprint staff member to serve as a virtual proctor.
When filling out the exam request form, simply choose the option of taking the exam "using a Blueprint Education staff member as virtual proctor". Upon exam approval, and within 24-48 business hours, an email will be sent to the provided email offering available dates and times to schedule the exam.
Our proctors offer a variety of virtual testing opportunities to accommodate busy school and work schedules. Students can schedule directly with Blueprint virtual proctors.
How many hours does it take to complete a course?
All courses with Blueprint Education are self-paced. Courses are designed to be completed within an average of 60 hours.
It is advised that students spend adequate time on each learning activity within their course to ensure understanding and mastery can be demonstrated on the final exam.
Failure to do so may result in needing to redo course material to ensure learning outcomes are met.
How quickly will assignments be graded?
Assignments are graded within 48 business hours.
If a student sees that an assignment has not been graded within this timeframe, the student should email the teacher politely informing them of the situation.
What do students need to accomplish in order to complete their course?
In order to receive a final (passing) grade, the following requirements must be met:
- All assignments must be completed with a legitimate attempt. No blank, nonsensical, plagiarized, AI-generated, or duplicate submissions will be accepted.
- A grade of zero must be fixed and resubmitted for a better grade.
- Students must pass the proctored final exam in order to pass the course. In the instance of a failed exam, one retake is available for purchase.
- All assignments, exams, retakes need to be completed and graded before your course expiration date. We recommend that you do not take your final exam on your expiration date. We recommend taking your final at least 3 school days before your course expiration date to avoid additional fees.
Assignments are graded within 48 business hours.
What if a student needs more time to complete a course?
Keep in mind there is an expiration date of 8 weeks from the time of enrollment (12 weeks for foreign language and Honors courses).
There is the option to purchase a 1-month extension for $50.00 per course.
It is the students' or parents' responsibility to contact Blueprint Independent Study before the expiration date if the choice is made to purchase an extension.
The extension period is based on the original expiration date; it does not begin when the extension is purchased. Failure to purchase an extension before the course expiration date will result in course disablement.
If additional time is needed to complete a course, an extension MUST be purchased prior to 5pm (Arizona time) on the expiration date. If this has not occurred, the course will become inactive.
To reactivate the course, a $200 fee is required. This fee includes the reopening of the student's course and 30 additional days to finish the course. This also ensures a student's work is not lost. If no communication or payment is made within two weeks after the course expiration date, the course will be dropped, all work will be lost, and the student will have to repurchase the course at full price.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are available within 7 days of the purchase date, provided the course is less than 5% complete.
What is your policy on Academic Integrity?
Academic integrity requires honesty in coursework, original work, and proper credit for others' ideas. It upholds the credibility of education, and any form of academic dishonesty is prohibited. Misuse of AI, plagiarism and/or other resources leading to academic dishonesty is strictly forbidden and may result in course failure.
- Warning – The teacher will reset the assignment, and the student must complete it before moving forward.
- Assignment Failure – The student will fail the assignment. Parent/Guardian is notified by staff or teacher.
- Course Failure – The student will fail the course.
- Prohibit Future Course Enrollment - As a result of excessive or severe academic dishonesty, the student will be prohibited from enrolling in future courses with Blueprint Education.
Cheating on a proctored exam may result in course failure.
When do courses start?
Blueprint Education offers "Open Enrollment" for all of our courses.
Students may enroll at any time, and courses will begin upon the date of activation (so you can purchase more than one course at a time, and the countdown will not begin until each course is activated).
Where can expiration dates be found?
The expiration date can be found in the student enrollment confirmation email or in the progress meter in the course itself. It can also be confirmed by calling the main office at 602-674-5555.
Students are initially given 8 weeks from the date of activation to complete a course.
